Senior Hours due by January 8th (Friday!)

Reminder that 9 hours of community service is due by all senior members by January 8th, which is this upcoming Friday. A link to the hours sheet is to the right of the main blog  feed.

New Member Meeting

Anyone new members who have missed the FLEX meeting on 12/11 need to attend the after school meeting on Monday 12/14

We are collecting prescription glasses! If you know anyone who has old prescription glasses or have any yourself, please collect and donate them to Mrs. Skena's room. If you are interested in being involved in this committee please talk to Mrs Skena.

Multiple sign up sheets were distributed for Mr. Walkersville, the January 12th Blood Drive, and Tutoring.
If interested in any of these opportunities, once again, contact Mrs. Skena

As a reminder:
All new members need 18 volunteer hours by the end of May

• 2 need to be chapter sponsored
• 2 need to be tutoring

December Events/Meeting

Upcoming events include:

Induction- December 3rd (Volunteers for set-up and cleaning needed)

• Mandatory for current members (Wear your pin)

Walkersville Wrestling Tournament- December 4th and 5th

Walkersville Toy Shoppe- December 6th (beginning at 10 am) and after school on December 9th

• Receiving and sorting donations in order to give out Christmas presents to those who can not afford them
• Affiliated with Toys for Tots

Eye Glasses Drive- Collection until January 15th

• Boxes located in Mrs. Skena's Room and the front office
• Please label the glasses for nearsighted or farsighted

Cinderella's Closet

For the beginning of the 2015-2016 school year, NHS will be helping with Cinderella's Closet on September 18th and 19th. Dates are posted on the calendar.

Volunteers are needed to help with the transportation of dresses from WHS to the Walkersville Town Hall along with the set up at the Town Hall itself. 

Volunteers can sign up at the 9/8 FLEX meeting.
